Citizens Advice Liverpool Vacancy: Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £45,000 per annum (plus Employer’s Pension Contribution)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) is a newly formed charitable company, in the process of being established through the merger of 4 Citizens Advice organisations in Liverpool, which collectively deliver a full range of advice services across the City of Liverpool. CAL has been formed to continue and improve on the quality and effectiveness of advice services to clients in the challenging context of increasing demand and reducing funding.

The mission is to provide free, confidential and impartial advice and to campaign on the major issues affecting people’s lives. The aim is to provide integrated, quality, accessible and appropriate services across Liverpool and the region, helping everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face.

Citizens Advice Liverpool is now recruiting for the challenging but rewarding role of Chief Executive Officer, to provide strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of the organisation at a time of change, within the policy direction set by the Trustee Board.

Working closely with the main stakeholders, you will have a determined focus on delivering the very best quality advice service to the clients, using innovative, integrated approaches that enable the organisation to deliver better outcomes, more quickly and to higher standards.

The organisation’s dedicated team of staff and volunteers expect inspiring leadership of the highest quality. Reporting to the Chair and Trustees, you will be responsible for developing and growing our service to meet ever increasing demands, while maintaining the very best levels of service delivery and quality, within budget constraints. Excellent strategic, team leadership and change management skills are essential, as is proven experience of finances and funding, representational and HR management.
