Citizen’s Advice Liverpool Vacancies – I.T. Manager & EUSS Support Officer

I.T. Manager

Salary : £ 28,000 – 30,000
​Hours: 35 per week (Some evening and weekend work required)

Citizens Advice Liverpool is looking to recruit an experienced I.T Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our I.T systems across our organisation. They currently have 7 sites and therefore the ability to travel between sites is essential.

The successful candidate will:

ensure that reliable I.T systems and procedures are in place across the organisation

supervise the implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s I.T needs

manage and develop a team of staff and volunteers

play an important role in delivering a diverse set of I.T and communications technology across the service that link with national office.

There are a range of exciting initiatives at Citizens Advice Liverpool over the coming year that includes the continued development of the new cloud platform, completion of the rollout of Windows 10 and the development of an I.T helpdesk.

The successful candidate will have proven professional experience in all of the above along with a detailed knowledge of Office 365 technologies and the General Data Protection Regulations.

EUSS Support Officer

Salary : £ 24,000​
Hours: 35 per week
Duration: Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2020

Citizens Advice Liverpool are delighted to have been awarded Home Office funding to assist vulnerable EU nationals complete their EU Settled Status applications. At a key time for ensuring people from EU countries feel welcome in the UK and can take advantage of their legal rights to remain here, they are seeking someone who shares their commitment and demonstrates a passion for working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Operating across the Liverpool City Region, the successful candidate will establish and deliver a responsive face to face, video and telephone service within a challenging timescale. They will support volunteers in Liverpool and also advisers at other local Citizens Advice in the area: Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Halton.

The service will in particular seek to support vulnerable people from: Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities; disabled people; people with serious health conditions; victims of domestic abuse; elderly people and young adults who have left care.

After helping applicants to identify and collate the necessary documentary evidence, they will assist them to submit their application.

The successful applicant may be required to pass a DBS check as a condition of employment. The successful applicant will demonstrate, among other things:

  • Ability to plan, develop and deliver a complex project with targets
  • Ability to sensitively empower and engage with adults who are EU nationals and experience social exclusion
  • Ability to coach others in using online systems
  • Ability to recruit, induct, train and supervise a small team of volunteers
