We have an exciting opportunity for a part time specialist U.C adviser to join the Universal Support Help to Claim project.
Citizens Advice Liverpool are delivering an end-to-end claims support service which will be nationally consistent and provide high-quality advice for first time Universal Credit claimants. Universal Credit is our fastest growing advice issue and the evidence collected by the Citizens Advice network shows us people need more practical support to make and manage their Universal Credit claim. The service will guide people through the claims process – offering tailored support to help them use the flexibilities available in Universal Credit, helping them to get their first payment on time and making sure they’re ready to manage it when it arrives.
You will support the existing ‘Help to Claim’ team by helping claimants to challenge the DWP or appeals. You will advise clients what elements they should look out for when they get their first payment, and you will help clients who think their first payment is delayed, wrong or incomplete. You will help with supplying the right evidence, showing that claimants have fulfilled their claimant commitment and support appeals for clients who have failed the underlying Habitual Residence Test when applying for UC.
To apply to join us, please find the recruitment pack and application form on our website: https://www.citizensadviceliverpool.org.uk/job-opportunities or e-mail recruitment@caliverpool.org.uk.
Closing Date for Applications: 12.00 noon – Thursday 28 March 2019
Interviews will be held – Thursday 4 April 2019
