Citizens Advice Liverpool – Welfare Benefits Caseworker

Contract: Permanent.
Term: Full time & Part time positions.
Salary: £25,408 – £27,030 FTE – pro-rata for reduced hours. Starting salary will depend on knowledge and experience and level of training required.
Hours per week: Multiple roles available including Part Time. Full time hours are 35pw. Please indicate on application your preferred working hours per week.
Location: Various locations around Liverpool and from home.

They give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. They are the leading provider of advice and advocacy services in Liverpool and have helped clients with over 106,000 issues in 2022/2023.

Job Details

  • Provide welfare benefits advice in person and digitally via telephone, webchat and video
  • Provide outreach advice in Torus Foundation, Citizens Advice buildings and home visits
  • Provide advice and case updates to Torus Foundation staff members via a staff Helpline
  • Complete the required training to comply with quality assurance processes
  • Keep up to date with Citizens Advice Aims, policies and procedures and ensure these are followed
  • Ensure that work reflects and supports the Citizens Advice service’s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.
