Cobalt Funding for Community Organisations

Community groups and organisations are invited to submit a funding application to Cobalt’s Community Fund to run a project or event that benefits the Cobalt neighbourhood (Croxteth, Norris Green, Fazakerley, and Clubmoor).

The maximum that may be applied for is £3,500 and the application must demonstrate that match-funding is in place (at least another 20%). This amount can only be applied for once per year. All groups, including those who have applied for one project at the maximum amount, may submit unrestricted numbers of applications for smaller amounts provided that the projects or events are totally unrelated.

Your project or event must address one or more of Cobalt’s Regeneration Team priorities.

  • Strengthening Communities
  • Cleaner, Safer, Greener Communities
  • Financial Inclusion & Advice
  • Employment and Life-Long Learning
  • Families

Groups may put in as many applications as they wish as long as the projects or events are unrelated. Each year, a group may apply for £3,500 only once for one project in any given financial year (April – March).

These larger applications must demonstrate that they have 20% or more match funding in place, which can be made up of financial and / or in kind contributions. The payments of these larger grants may be in instalments, subject to the project’s needs.
