Comics Youth runs an independent youth-led publishing house called Marginal. They publish stories from marginalised young people to elevate and champion narratives that often go unheard. They are now looking for 20 young people aged 14 – 25 years old to join their Marginal Changemakers Programme to make publishing more inclusive across a 12 month project.
Across 12 months, the group will work together to create an Inclusion Charter and campaign work around making publishing more accessible and exciting for marginalised people – from who is employed in publishing houses, the books they promote and the ethos’ they lead with.
The chosen young people will be trained for 6 months in all the skills they need, and then will spend the last 6 months of the programme leading spaces, conversations and campaigns with publishers across the UK.
