Culture and Arts Investment Programme (CAIP) – Now Open

The Culture and Arts Investment Programme (CAIP) supports a range of creative arts activities across the city, including film and video screenings, festivals and carnivals, combined and multi-disciplinary arts, creative crafts, dance, drama and literature. It also supports visual, public and digital art, and theatre, comedy and music.

They are now accepting stage one applications for CAIP funding for 3 years funding for 2023/24 to 2025/26 from organisations that meet the eligibility criteria.

Who can apply?

They will accept applications from organisations that are based and operate in the Liverpool local authority area, which provide significant cultural activities.

They cannot accept applications from individual artists, informally constituted collectives, formal educational establishments (schools, colleges, universities etc) or informal networks.

Joint applications may be submitted by a lead partner who will solely be accountable for the delivery of the programme and comply with the terms and conditions of the grant.

CAIP Revenue funding will support annual core costs of organisations that deliver multiyear programmes, rather than one off events or projects. The total amount of funding available is £2.212m.

Funding must not be used for activities beyond the Liverpool local authority area and all projects must be completed by March 2026, subject to further approval by the council.
