Discount Initiative for Disabled Children and Young People

Max Card is the UK’s leading discount initiative for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The card is for all disabled children and young people up to 25, who have a disability based on the Equality Act 2010, which states that a person is disabled if they have a physical or mental impairment that has “substantial” and “long term” negative effects on their ability to do normal daily activities.

Cards are provided for families with children and young people, 0-25. Currently 75,000 families access the scheme across the country, there are 5,000 venues on board including national partners Alton Towers, Dine Club, Virgin Experience Days, LEGOLAND, Go Ape! And Oxygen Free jumping.  There are a number of local activities signed up to the scheme, with more being added all the time.

For further information, contact Judith Mozier at Judith.moizer@liverpool.gov.uk.
