Ethical and eco organisations, put yourselves on the Mersey Green Map

Are you part of the ethical economy in Liverpool City Region? If so, put yourself on the map – the Mersey Green Map that is.

The Mersey Map is the largest of three national pilot projects, the others being in Gateshead and Oxford. It is a joint initiative, created by the Solidarity Economy Association UK and being added to by Transition Liverpool and Wirral Environmental Network.

The project aims to provide a resource for people who are committed to ethical, green and local shopping and encourage green, ethical and fair local businesses to put themselves on the map.

It is being provided to facilitate networking and opportunity to learn from one another and offer support. It is also hoped that the map will help to establish an alternative economy in Liverpool City Region, based on economic justice, equality and sustainability.

Take a look at the map and add your organisation via the Transition Liverpool website.

Representatives from The Mersey Map are currently looking for champions, to help populate the map with fair, green and ethical small enterprises.
