The night will be hosted by TV legend Ricky Tomlinson & will be raising money for The Florrie’s Charity (Charity No. 1109301). The event will begin with a special screening of the first episode of Liverpool’s favourite soap-opera, Brookside. Then there will be a screenwriting Q&A when the writers will be taking questions directly from the audience, offering tips & tricks to early career writers who want to work in TV & Film. There will also be a TV memorabilia charity auction and food & drink available throughout the night. You don’t want to miss it!
Writers Jimmy McGovern, Colin McKeon, Andy Lynch & John Oakden – who worked on productions like Brookside, Dockers, Eastenders, Emerdale, Cracker, Time, Hillsborough, Hollyoaks, The Street, Grange Hill, Moving On & many more – will be gathering at the community arts & heritage venue.
