Christmas has come and it has gone,

Outside it’s cold and grey,

But despair ye not.

For an idea we’ve got

To brighten up your day.

Och aye dinoo

That was a clue,

Of what The Brain Charity doth have planned,

A Burns Night festivity, tickets for, in high demand.

Banish your blues and worries,

Alleviate all concerns,

Come dance a jig and eat and drink, for Mr Robbie Burns.

The piper will be piping,

To commemorate this night,

So come one, come all,

And enjoy with us, this wondrous sound and sight.

The men, some may be kilted,

Some women may bonnie, be,

An extended Hogmanay party,

For that poet, we love, Robbie.

Haggis will be eaten, tartan fun in leaps and bounds,

A night to remember, for you and yours,

All for just five pounds.

Maybe If you’re feeling daring,

We hope you will agree

To recite a poem you’ve written, or one you like,

And let your mind be free.

The 28^th of January is the date,

7 o’clock is the time,

So join us in our celebration,

For the sake of Auld Lang Syne.
