Hosted by Citizens Advice Liverpool and Our Liverpool | 7 May 2021 | 4-7pm
A celebration of European culture and an insight to the work of Citzens Advice Liverpool and its partner organisations.
Every year Europe Day is celebrated on 9 May. The date is very significant as it is the day after the Second World War ended in in Europe in 1945, when Europe cried “never again!” to suffer the horrors of war and promised henceforth to value human dignity. It laid the foundation for European partnerships, from the European Steel and Coal Community formed in 1951, via the European Economic Community, to the European Union formed in 1993.
Citizens Advice Liverpool and Our Liverpool are celebrating the European spirit of being united in diversity and the collaborations and partnerships they have formed with other organisations in Liverpool, nationally and abroad.
Although the UK has exited the European Union, Liverpool will always have a close relationship with Europe. This event is a celebration of that relationship, held via Microsoft Teams.
There will be dancing and live music to celebrate our European culture, as well as a chance to hear about the work of partner organisations and the work of host organisations on the EU Settlement Scheme and other services.
