Due to popular demand, SCLS are running an additional date of their Hate Crime Awareness training, which will take place on Friday 25th January 2019 from 9.30-13.00pm at the Sefton Corporate Learning Centre.
This training will be offered free to show SCLS’s support in tackling hate crime. They want to increase awareness or what a hate crime/ hate incidents are, and their impact on both individuals and communities. They also want you to feel more confident to support victims of hate crime, and understand the reporting routes across Merseyside.
Aims:
This half day course will provide participants with the confidence and knowledge to be able to support victims and report Hate Crimes/Incidents.
Outcomes:
- What is a Hate Crime/Hate Incident
- The impact of Hate Crime on victims and communities
- Processes and support available for victims of Hate Crime in Sefton
- Reporting routes for victims of Hate Crime
- Merseyside Police response to Hate Crime and Hate Incidents
