Everton in the Community (EitC), in partnership with Edge Hill University, is delivering its first annual Health and Wellbeing Conference.

EitC, the official multi award-winning charity of Everton Football Club, delivers a range of innovative programmes across Merseyside in the areas of Health and Wellbeing, Disability, Youth Engagement, Employment and Education. Since 1988, EitC have been committed to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable and underprivileged people and provides evidence – and research-led delivery that tackles a range of public health challenges covering long-term conditions, mental illness and age-related conditions.

This conference will provide an opportunity for various organisations to learn more about EitC and its five-year academic partnership with Edge Hill University. Organisations that would benefit from attending include football and sports community foundations/ schemes, decision makers from local authorities (especially public health departments), CCGs and NGBs, voluntary and private sector organisations, and researchers.

The conference will provide opportunities to learn more about a range of innovative and award-winning projects, including Pass on the Memories, Imagine Your Goals, Tackling the Blues, Active Blues and the Disability Programme. Project Managers will share good practice alongside lessons learnt to help other organisations to develop and refine their delivery. Information will be provided concerning the benefits of these projects in helping to tackle health inequalities alongside reaching the so called ‘hard to reach’.

Edge Hill University will provide information on effective methods of monitoring and evaluation, how to evidence the impact of programmes, discuss what commissioners are looking for, and present real-life examples of how monitoring and evaluation processes have worked effectively. You will also have an opportunity to meet Project Managers at EitC and researchers from Edge Hill University for one-to-one meetings.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The day will also include a tour of the Everton in the Community campus. A free raffle will take place on the day to win official Everton Football Club merchandise.
