What is the LCRCA Aspire Discover Training Programme?
This is a 12-month paid training programme for 18+ Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic residents in Liverpool City Region, with us at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
You will undertake bespoke, tailored training in one of their departments and receive comprehensive learning and development support.
Join one of their events listed to visit the Combined Authority and find out more about the programme and the work they do across Liverpool City Region.
They are proud to introduce the Aspire Discover Training Programme, which aims to:
- Ensure that more local people can access local jobs by breaking down barriers.
- Support people to establish careers in local government and transport sectors.
- Become more representative of the communities they serve by improving the long-term diversity of their workforce.
What is the Combined Authority?
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is led by Mayor Steve Rotheram and brings together region’s six local councils – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral – to tackle the big issues that matter to us all, together.
The authority has taken powers and funding from the national government through a ‘devolution’ deal. This means that we can take decisions and make investments locally, where we know what our region needs.
Through the Combined Authority, they work together to make investments in areas that have a real impact on our communities, like transport, employment and skills, culture, digital and housing. By using the devolved powers they have, they can make a real and meaningful difference to the lives of the people living and working in the area.
