Friday 17 May 2019 – venues across Liverpool city centre
5pm – late
Free
LightNight returns on Friday 17 May, unlocking the doors of Liverpool’s best-loved arts, culture and heritage venues late into the night.
A Friday night out like no other, visitors of all ages are invited to follow an unforgettable trail of events with over 100 free performances, exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks and much more.
This year the programme explores ‘ritual’. Rituals of all kinds, ancient and modern, are seen in cultures from all over the world; where there is community, there is also ritual. It will explore personal and collective rituals, from the spiritual to the habitual, and consider how they help us to understand the world and define, or transcend, our place within it.
The full festival programme will be released on 15 April, but LightNight be teasing a few bits and pieces before then so do keep an eye out over at their website. You can also pre-order your printed festival guide – information on how to do so is below.
And don’t forget to let them know you’re coming (and invite your friends) at the official Facebook event page.
Pre-order your Festival Guide
This year’s festival guide costs £3 (plus £1 postage) and is available for pre-order now from the LightNight website.
Your guide will be posted to you on April 15 when the full festival programme is announced.
You can also pre-order festival tote bags, stickers and other goodies.
All funds raised from the sale of guides and merchandise will be used to fund the future of the festival – thank you for helping us to keep LightNight free.
The deadline for Light Night volunteering opportunities has now passed.
