The Active Recreation Disability Engagement Event will bring together providers of sport and active recreation with disabled people’s organisations from across the Liverpool City Region to increase co-operation and support more disabled people to be active.
The event will welcome key stakeholders and speakers:
- Steve Rotheram – Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor
- Mary Beaumont – Greenbank CEO
- Barry Horn – Activity Alliance CEO
The aim of the event is to engage with disability, health, transport and education sector providers/professionals about how they can work together to remove the barriers disabled people face, and support more disabled people to live an active lifestyle.
As part of the event there will be demonstrations of a range of disability sports, and an exhibition area whereby sport and active recreation organisations/charities/providers can share their own organisations, programmes and experiences.
