Liverpool Mad Pride

Event Date: 02 April 2017

Sunday 2 April 2017, 2-9.45pm – Constellations, 37-39 Greenland Street, Liverpool, L1 0BS.

Mad Pride is a mass movement of the users of mental health services and their allies seeking to reclaim terms such as “mad” and “nutter” from misuse. It aims to educate the general public on subjects such as potential causes of mental distress and the experiences of those who use mental health services; but most of all, it is to celebrate and stand in solidarity with those who experience or who have experienced some form of mental distress as active members of society.

Liverpool Mad Pride returns to Threshold Festival: political, passionate, punchy, fun and unapologetic! Get ready for a day of music, creativity and utter bonkersness – Mad Pride is free and all are welcome.

2-8pm: bands – spoken word – creative activities
8-9.45pm: Mad Pride parade and fiery finale

Liverpool Mad Pride will use community, creativity and collaboration to honour madness in all its forms!
