Liverpool Memory Walk

Event Date: 05 September 2021

From 10 am | Sunday 5 September 2021 | Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool | Registration Fee: Free

Come together with friends and family at Aintree Racecourse for the Liverpool Memory Walk. Memory Walk is the Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship sponsored walking event to raise money and unite against dementia this autumn.

Dementia is now the UK’s biggest killer, yet research still trails far behind other health conditions. By taking part in Memory Walk you will make a massive difference in the funding of vital dementia research, campaigns, and support services.

There are two Memory Walk routes – you choose which to walk on the day of the event. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended. The walks will be starting and finishing at Aintree Racecourse.

The shorter 2km walk is a gentle stroll around the racecourse, which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.

The longer 6km walk is a little more challenging and will take you around the racecourse and through the landscaped parkland. This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.

This event relies heavily on volunteers, so if you don’t like walking, you can choose to volunteer instead.

For more information and to sign up to walk or to volunteer, please visit Alzheimer’s Society website.
