6.30pm, Thursday 26, March, The Racquet Club, 5 Chapel St, Liverpool L3 9AG
Tickets: £6 per person including refreshments
This event is hosted by Lister Steps, a well-established community charity in L13 that is currently undertaking the restoration of the Grade II listed Old Library on Green Lane. Join the Lister Steps team for this fundraising evening of debate around heritage in our city and how old buildings can bring new life to communities.
Like-minded organisations and individuals will debate the reasons why heritage buildings in our city are important, the impact they can have on people and how they can be used in innovative ways to improve lives and regenerate communities.
The evening will begin with light refreshments and networking opportunities, followed by presentations from key speakers including Gerry Proctor from Engage Liverpool, Jo Harrop from PlacED and Steph Harrison from Regenda. Speakers will share their experiences of regeneration in Liverpool City Region and consider the key role heritage has to play in our built environment and our local communities. You will also be able to purchase raffle tickets on the night, for your chance to win fabulous experiences at hotels, restaurants and venues across our city.
We also hope to share information on The Old Library project, inspire people to get involved, and raise vital funds so we can re-open this cherished building as a space where our community can come together to learn, celebrate & have fun.
