All-female nightlife collective, SisBis, presents Mim Suleiman, a leftfield afrobeat star who fills dancefloors with her mix of drum machines, percussion, synths and ukulele. The event is produced in association with Africa Oyé and designed as an open space for all. The show will raise funds for MRANG, Merseyside Refugee and Asylum Seekers Pre and Postnatal Support Group. Support comes from SisBis resident DJ, Giovanna.
Mim Suleiman has been described as Mama Africa of the modern era. Originally from Zanzibar and now based in the UK, Suleiman is a Swahili singer-songwriter, performer, fundraiser, teacher, composer, producer and coordinator who revels in her traditions with passion in collaborations. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Africa.
