MS Society – Walking Football Taster session for anyone affected by MS

Event Date: 22 May 2023

Monday 22 May 2023 from 12 – 2 PM | The People’s Hub Spellow Lane Liverpool L4 4DF

Everton in the Community (EitC) will be hosting a Walking Football taster day in May 2023 for anyone affected by MS including those with an MS diagnosis and friends & family.

EitC’s Walking Football programme delivers fun, inclusive and low-impact walking football sessions for people living with MS in a welcoming and supportive environment. Sessions are delivered by qualified coaches at the EitC’s People’s Hub all-weather astro-turf pitch and are open to all regardless of age, ability or limited mobility.

The first half of the session comprises a full warm up and technical ball work to mobilise key joints and prepare the body and mind for activity. Training drills are focused on helping participants improve balance and coordination by ensuring each player has a ball at their feet and go at their own pace. The next element of the session involves fun teamwork challenges and small sided matches with lots of rest breaks in between games.

This event is free of charge, but places are limited and  booking is essential.

Venue is ground floor and accessible, there is free parking onsite.
