Delivered by Citizens Advice Liverpool via Teams
Citizens Advice Liverpool and The University of Liverpool are leading a Liverpool City Council funded project entitled Increasing Access to Justice. The project aims to provide a strong evidence base of the social impact of legal aid cuts and welfare reform in Liverpool, and an understanding of the advice services available to people in Liverpool.
It will also improve access to justice in the city by developing referral and training capacity for Liverpool’s third sector, and organisations providing advice.
Additionally, the project will bring together advice agencies with organisations delivering support that is complimentary to legal advice, such as information giving and advocacy.
The aim is to increase access to advice and increase the effectiveness of legal help provision, through improving networking and referrals within the sector.
As part of its work on the project, Citizens Advice Liverpool is offering a demonstration of its multi-agency e-referral system.
Formally known as the Multi-Partner Referrals Group, the aim of the system is to improve partnership working between advice agencies in the city, and to maximise referrals between those partners. Organisations who could benefit from using this e-referral system are invited to attend one of two demonstration sessions being held later this month. The sessions will explain how the system works and how organisations can join.
The demos will take place:
- 11am, Tuesday 21 July at
- 10am, Wednesday 22 July
They will run via Microsoft Teams. You need only attend one session. via Teams. The demonstration will take around 20 minutes and time will be allocated for follow-up questions.
If you would like to join either session, please email Iqra Mazhir, partnership coordinator at Citizens Advice Liverpool – iqra.mazhir@caliverpool.org.uk.
