Ovacome Liverpool Community Day

Event Date: 25 January 2025

Hosted by Ovacome | 27 January 2025 from 11 AM to 2:30 PM | 151 Dale Street, Liverpool L2 2AH

Ovacome are delighted to announce their next free lunch and learn community event.

This is an opportunity to connect with other organisations who are providing support to underserved communities and talk about the work Ovacome are doing to reduce health inequalities.

Ovacome is the national ovarian cancer charity, and they work to support anyone affected by the disease and want to raise awareness of the symptoms of the disease in the community.

Their event is an opportunity for them talk about the work they are doing to reach people who face barriers to getting a diagnosis of ovarian cancer or in understanding the disease in and around Liverpool, Merseyside and Cheshire.

They are focusing on this area because research tells them people in the north west of England are experiencing poorer outcomes than in some other areas of the country. They also know that people who are older, have English as a second language, are from an ethnic minority, live in areas of deprivation, have disabilities, are refugees or asylum seekers face even more barriers to accessing diagnosis, treatment and support.

They would love to work with you to improve awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and improve diagnosis and treatment experiences for underserved communities.
