Hosted by Ovacome | 26 April 2024 from 10:30 AM to 3 PM | LCVS, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool
Free drop in event.
This is an event for community organisations to come and find out about the work Ovacome is doing to reduce health inequalities in and around Liverpool.
Ovacome knows that health inequalities have a significant impact on an ovarian cancer diagnosis and they are holding this event to explore ways to tackling this. They know that when people are diagnosed late there are fewer treatment options and poorer survival rates. They also know that in some parts of Liverpool and the surrounding towns that there are poor rates of early diagnosis and that some people also really struggle to access support and information that they need.
This is a great opportunity to find out more about the work Ovacome are doing to reduce barriers in accessing ovarian cancer symptom messaging and support after a diagnosis.
They also have some funding available to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease and they can make funds available to cover your costs if your organisation would be prepared to work with them.
They would love to find out more about the work you are doing in the Liverpool and Lancashire area and welcome opportunities to work together. If you are supporting anyone who may benefit from finding out more, please feel free to bring them along.
