The first weekend of February you are all invited for a BIG journey with Lusitania. Their special guests will arrive to Liverpool to take you on this special journey.

The tasty food will be provided by their friends from the Polish shop DARIA Foods and Polish Soccer Schools. The access for the festival is free! Donations welcome.

Rising of Lusitania – AnimaDoc Film Festival is the international animation film festival which is focused entirely on this unique genre combining animation and documentary. Rising of Lusitania – AnimaDoc Film Festival is powered by Animation Across Borders.
Why Liverpool?
The first recognized example of animadoc (animated documentary) is Winsor McCay’s short film “The Sinking of the Lusitania” (1918, 12-minute-long), which uses animation to portray the 1915 sinking of RMS Lusitania. The port of registry for RMS Lusitania was Liverpool.
Now, 100 years after the premiere of Winsor McCay’s movie and 103 years after Lusitania’s tragedy, they want to commemorate those facts and those people through the international film festival held in the amazing multicultural city of The Beatles and Lusitania.

Dlaczego Liverpool?
Pierwszym uznanym przykładem animadoc (animowanego dokumentu) jest krótki film Winsora McCaya “The Sinking of the Lusitania” (1918, 12 minut), który wykorzystuje animację do sportretowania zatonięcia RMS Lusitanii w 1915 roku.
