Small Steps – raising awareness of the threat of far right radicalisation

Event Date: 04 February 2019

Communities and schools in at-risk areas are often vulnerable to far-right narratives. Liverpool City Council and Small Steps UK are offering frontline workers in-depth training to spot signs of radicalisation and raise awareness of the far right’s recruitment strategies and online influence.

Small Steps UK are an organisation set up by former neo Nazi / extreme far right members who have left the organisations and now work with the authorities to raise awareness of the threat of radicalisation and recruitment by extreme far right groups. During the session they will talk about the current threat, especially online radicalisation but they will also talk about their story of how they had been groomed into this ideology. There will opportunities to ask questions during the sessions.
