Squash Nutrition’s Winter Get-Together

Friday 1 December 2017, 12-3pm, at two locations:

• The new Squash Food Hub, 112-114 Windsor Street, Liverpool, L8 8EQ
• Grapes Food Garden, next door to Toxteth TV, Windsor Street, Liverpool, L8 1XE

L8-based community food enterprise Squash Nutrition celebrates its 10th birthday with this special get-together event.

On the day, there will be food stalls run by the ‘Food Biz’ team; a group of women who this autumn have been working with Squash to explore exciting work opportunities in the food industry. Expect tasty seasonal food and drinks a plenty.

Additionally, the event will host a variety of engaging activities, including an immersive VR headset film exploring nature through 360˚, live music around the log fire, and a chance for participants to create an animation film in a washing machine.

The event is being funded by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services, inspired by the Great Get-Together, organised by the family of the late MP Jo Cox.

Co-director Clare Owens said: “We’re really looking forward to our 10th birthday party! It will be a great opportunity to reflect on and celebrate a decade of collaboration, creativity and great food growing, cooking and eating with our community!”
