13 March 2020, repeated on 14 March
- Do you have a loved one whose life has changed because of harmful drugs?
- Have you been affected because your family member misuses substances?
- Do you feel lost or helpless when a family member abusers drugs?
People who abuse substances experience of number of difficulties. However, the challenges that their family members (including carers) face is too often overlooked. There is very little support available to family members when the ones they love abuse harmful substances — whether this is illegal drugs, alcohol or other narcotics.
On behalf of Health Education England, Equal Vision will be holding two engagement days to look at the impact of substance misuse on families, and to understand their needs. Two engagement days will take place at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, 6 Sir Thomas Street, Liverpool, L1 6BR on 13 and 14 March, from 10:30-15:30. You can choose to attend either day. A hot lunchtime meal will be provided, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
If you would like to attend or need further information contact simon@equalvision.org or message/call 07715 53 22 34.
