The Beautiful Parks Project – Norris Green

Event Date: 12 October 2017

Thursday 12 October 2017, 4-7pm – St Christopher’s Church, Lorenzo Drive, Liverpool, L11 1BW.

How can we make our parks the centre of local life again? They’ve always been places that communities do things in, so how do we encourage them back? What would you like to see near you?

Do you think you could grow things – or mow things? Watch performers; eat, drink and exercise? Create a gallery or a workshop space? Teach, tell a story or train in a new sport?

The Beautiful Ideas Co. is looking for ideas that are big, small, and everything in between. They could be Individual ideas – a running club, film screening or street food – or something that encompasses a whole park. Beautiful Parks Project is about supporting and growing new businesses. Every idea must have the potential to become economically viable.

Princess Park, Botanic Park, Crown Street and Norris Green Park are just a few that The Beautiful Ideas Co. is looking to give a helping hand to.

The company is looking for inspiration and ideas – ideas can come from anyone, anywhere and there is a 5k prize pot to share between your beautiful ideas to get you going and company will help you plug into further resources, solve problems and develop ideas. All of the ideas must maintain public access and create new opportunities – this isn’t about privatisation, it’s about participation.

Come walk and talk with The Beautiful Ideas Co. and tell your ideas and they will have great food thrown in to keep you warm!

You will meet at St Christopher’s Church Hall (Lorenzo Drive Entrance), and from there head off to explore Norris Green Park and talk through new creative ideas for parks and green space in North Liverpool. You will return to St Christopher’s Church Hall for comfort food around 5pm where experts will be on hand to help you begin to shape your idea and talk you through the Beautiful Parks Project application process.

Book your place online.
