Join us at Kuumba Imani for a special film screening looking at black activism past and present. Starting with short film ‘Sin Bin of the City’ made by local filmmaker James Arthur Armstrong about the 1981 Toxteth Uprisings/Riots, followed by ‘Whose Streets?’ (Sabaah Folayan & Damon Davis, 2017) about the uprising which followed the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. “An essential testament to the commitment of activists, told in their own fervent voices.” – Hollywood Reporter.
