SafeTime Stories (STS) is a non-profit event organised by community volunteers to remedy feelings of loneliness. This feeling can bring on mental and physical health issues.

Each week, there will be a new storyteller, but they may have returning storytellers who are now back with a sequel.

Storytellers include:

  • Jonathan Butters (Musician fame)
  • Jeremy Corbyn (after he chooses a story to tell). Yes, it is him!
  • Peter Holloway (LIPA fame)
  • Tony Nelson (Dockworkers fame)
  • Ron Noone (Historian fame)
  • “Simo” (Liverpudlian fame).

And the list is growing. If you would like to be a storyteller, you can contact this group via the number further below.

Loneliness zaps the quality of life from most people. The cure doesn’t always require medical supervision. It often involves the company of others.

STS offers a safe space to be with others or to remain solo.

It is a time for listening, talking is optional.

To learn about this week’s storyteller or for more information, please message on WhatsApp or call or text on 07902 917852.

Please note:

  • STS is apolitical and non-religious and any proselytization is forbidden.
  • STS was an initiative conceived by David Lam in 2020.
