Friday 20 April 2018, 10am-1pm – 151 Dale Street.
Care homes are often described as ‘islands of the old’, disconnected from the individuals, organisations, schools, youth groups, businesses that make up our community. Given the pressures facing social care, it is now more important than ever that we find ways to collaborate, cherishing those that are living, visiting and working in care homes and supporting them to deliver quality of life to our increasingly frail population.
This event, supported by LCVS, Liverpool Healthwatch and Liverpool City Council in partnership with ‘My Home Life’ offers us an opportunity to explore how we might be a catalyst for change. Through hearing about what is already working well in Liverpool and elsewhere, we can work together to vision what community engagement in care homes could look like at its best and how collectively we can make it happen.
