Working with Student Volunteers

Event Date: 20 February 2018

Tuesday 20 February 2018, 10.30m–12.30pm – 151 Dale Street.

Is your organisation looking for volunteers?

Liverpool has around 70,000 students across the city with a diverse range of skills and abilities. Attracted by jobs, city life and wider prospects many remain in the city long after graduating to build a life here.

LCVS recognises there is real potential to strengthen links between the student population and voluntary sector organisations, helping build capacity within organisations and enhancing the student experience.

LCVS and Liverpool Hope University would like to invite you to this free event to explore the benefits of taking on student volunteers.

Staff from Liverpool Hope will talk about their student volunteering offer, address any concerns you may have, as an organisation, about taking on students, and explain the support the University can provide. There will also be an opportunity to discuss your organisation’s requirements in terms of volunteering roles.

Volunteer Centre Liverpool will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on general volunteering issues.

A light lunch will be provided.

Places are limited, so book in advance by contacting Eluned Hughes on info@volunteercentreliverpool.org.uk.
