EXTENDED DEADLINE for the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2022

The Big Give has extended the deadline for charity applications to Friday 15 July 2022 for the Christmas Challenge 2022.

A number of charity partners have contacted the Big Give about the challenging fundraising climate and requested extensions. They are therefore pleased to announce an additional two weeks for all charities to submit their first-round application.

Secondly, they’re pleased to announce their first cohort of confirmed Champion funders. With more Champions due to confirm their commitment in the coming weeks, their 2022 campaign looks set to have the largest amount of Champion funding ever disbursed to charities! Their Champions are interested in supporting a wide range of charities. Confirmed Champions include long-term partners like the Reed Foundation, The Childhood Trust, Candis and many others. They’re also pleased to welcome new Champion partners, like DCMS, who are funding women and girls charities across England and Scotland.

Three reasons why your organisation should consider taking part in the Christmas Challenge:

  1. Match funding incentivises more people to give and people to give more! Last year, 75% of charities received more donations and 66% bigger donations vs comparable fundraising.
  2. Taking part in a well-established national campaign can help you reach new supporters. Last year, 94% of charities reported donations from new supporters. On average, 33% of donations were estimated to be from new supporters.
  3. Benefit from a free programme of skills training, coaching and resources. Their new-look fundraising training for 2022 campaign will help build your organisation’s skills. Last year, 86% of charities reported increased confidence in digital fundraising.
