Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO) – Alder Hey

Salary: £16,444 per annum (£27,715 full-time equivalent).
Hours per week: 21 hours.
Location: North West England.

About The Role

RNIB Eye Clinic Support Service want to announce this exciting opportunity to join their North West team as an Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO), at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

In this role, you will be a vital member of the team working directly with children & young people who have sight loss and their families. You will provide critical emotional support, information, and advice within a hospital setting at the Eye Clinic at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. You will support children & young people with sight loss by identifying their needs and then signpost or refer children & young people, carers, and families to other support services across the UK.

Who They’re Looking For

You will have significant experience of delivering health or social care support services. Key to this role will be your excellent communication and relationship-building skills with patients, clinicians, and a wide range of cross-sector partners.

You must be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent organisational skills and be a confident user of multiple IT systems.
