Food Active – Project Officer

Term: Full Time.
Location: Hybrid working with main office at 151 Dale Street in Liverpool City Centre.
Salary: £26,000 – £28,500 depending upon experience, 27 days holiday per year, plus excellent pension scheme.

charities, the NHS and central government to help improve the conditions that hold back so many of our communities.

HEG currently hosts Food Active, a healthier weight programme for North West England, and they deliver additional projects promoting healthier weight for a host of national and regional
organisations, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Boards, Office for Health Improvement & Disparities, Cancer Alliances and third sector organisations.

Job Details

The role will involve liaison with a range of partners across local authorities and NHS organisations, but also the third sector and research institutions. They are seeking an enthusiastic project officer who has some experience of either public health or wider healthcare who has an ambition to develop a career in the field of preventative public health. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting Food Active’s North West network and additional regional projects, working alongside Food Active’s project management team and wider staff within HEG. The candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational and time management skills, and some experience of being involved in supporting the administration of projects, preferably in a public health or healthcare environment.
