Free GDPR Advice Surgeries

LCVS are pleased to announce that we are piloting a number of free advice surgeries in December for Liverpool based groups looking for support in relation to the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

From May 2018, the GDPR introduces new data protection regulations that will have a significant impact on all not for profit organisations. It’s important that your organisation understands the key elements of the Regulation and takes appropriate protection measures to ensure the data you hold is audited, well documented and that all your data collection procedures are GDPR compliant.

If you’re reading this and thinking “what is GDPR?”, or you’ve heard of GDPR but your organisation is yet to begin preparing, it’s not too late to start your readiness strategy.

LCVS have developed these surgeries in partnership with local provider, Capacity: The Public Services Lab. Each 1hr surgery will provide you with a chance to receive one to one advice from a member of the Capacity Lab team, who will help you understand the implications of GDPR, assess your organisation’s GDPR readiness and advise you on the steps you should take to become compliant.

The appointments are offered on a first come, first served basis. Surgery slots are:

Thursday 14 December 2017 – 10-11am, 11am-12pm, or 12-1pm
Tuesday 19 December 2017 – 1-2pm, 2-3pm, or 3-4pm

We will be operating a waiting list, should demand outstrip supply. Additional surgeries may be possible, subject to demand.

To book your place, contact info@lcvs.org.uk, including your name, organisation name, address, email and telephone number, along with your chosen appointment.

Places are limited to one organisation per appointment.
