Halton & St Helens VCA – Local Implementation Lead (Halton)

Term: Part-time.
Salary: £13,750 actual salary per annum.
Hours per week: 15 hours.
Holidays: 26 days and public holidays pro-rata.

This is a new role that is key to the success of the Lloyds Bank Foundation Development Team’s work in the six communities that are part of their People and Communities work. The overall purpose is to support Lloyds Bank Foundation’s Development team to develop and deliver their asset-based ‘system change’ work with charities and a wide range of partners in Halton. The focus of the work is to develop approaches to how services for those with complex social needs can be designed, delivered and resourced – with a focus upon the unique contribution small and medium-size charities (SMCs) make to meeting those needs, within the context of austerity, Brexit, Covid-19 as well as local challenges.

You’ll be energetic and enthusiastic and unphased by working to deadlines or under pressure with a good eye for detail, enabling them to deliver their emerging programme of work with excellence. Additionally, they require someone with very well-developed negotiation, communication and coordination skills who understands the complexities of service provision for people facing complex social issues.

What has happened so far in this work?

The Team at Lloyds Bank Foundation have worked with partners in Halton to develop plans and a vision for the difference the work will make locally. From this, a starting point has been collectively chosen, which is food poverty with a specific focus on how this affects children. This is now being developed and taken forward through engagement with a range of partners and the Local Implementation Lead will be a key part of developing and embedding this work.

Arrangements

This role will be based at Halton and St Helens Voluntary Community Action but will work very closely with the Development Team at Lloyds Bank Foundation in helping to establish their long-term work with partners in Halton.  This role is for an initial period of one year in order to establish the work and part of the role will assess and plan for the resource needs of the wider systems work going forward.
