Halton & St Helens VCA Vacancies

Halton & St Helens Voluntary Community Action are looking for new team members for a variety of roles working in one or both of their boroughs. They are passionate about encouraging local people to make changes for good in their communities and helping them find the right support or service that can improve their lives for the better or helping develop a new solution.

Their communities are still recovering from the effects of the pandemic with local organisations helping people through the cost of living crisis and other issues or crisis that are preventing them from living better lives.

VCSE/ Bridgewater Link Worker

  • Halton
  • 36 hours per week
  • Salary £25,500 pa

This role will be one of the key delivery roles within VCA working closely with wider team members. The VCSE/Bridgewater Link Worker will be expected to work in the best way to ensure an efficient and flexible service that meets the needs of Bridgewater NHS Trust, communities and people. They are looking for someone who will thrive in a changing environment and will be willing to ‘muck in’ in order to ensure they are delivering a responsive service. The work will bring the expertise and knowledge of the VCSE to community NHS services across 2 Places, Warrington and Halton. This role is being delivered in partnership with Warrington Voluntary Action.

The role will help strengthen personal resilience and reduce health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It will focus on providing support to Bridgewater NHS Trust patients to enable them to connect with their communities and specialist VCSE services.

Healthy At Home Link Worker

  • St Helens
  • 36 hours per week
  • Salary £25,500 pa

The Healthy at Home project will provide a complementary service to the current discharge pathway within St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (STHKTH). It will enhance the current provision within the hospital and create effective and long-lasting links with the Community and Voluntary Sector (VCS). The post holder will be a Link Worker integrated within the hospital’s Discharge Team, providing a triage service to volunteer support and local VCS connections. The project will bring the expertise and knowledge of the VCS to the discharge process across St Helens.

Grants Administrator

  • St Helens
  • 18 hours per week
  • Salary £11,110

From handling grant enquiries to preparing meeting papers and being the key grants database administrator you will ensure all aspects of Halton & St Helens VCA grant programmes are handled with efficiency and professionalism.
