Hardshaw and Mann Area Quaker Meeting (charity no.1134522) is responsible for 4 places of worship in the North West, the largest of which is Liverpool Quaker Meeting House, a large modern building situated in Liverpool One. As well as being a place of worship, Liverpool Meeting House provides a not-for-profit room hire business which generates income for the charity and aims to provide a welcoming space for visitors, local businesses, charities and community groups. Room hire also takes place at our smaller meeting houses in Southport and St Helens.
Job Summary
They are looking for a Meeting House Assistant (Bookings) to work as part of their team to process bookings, provide general admin support and prepare rooms / hospitality for customers at Liverpool Meeting House. You will be based on reception, welcoming all customers and visitors to the Meeting House and answering the phone, being customer focused at all times in order to operate the Meeting House as a hospitable and welcoming venue, looking after the safety and security of the buildings’ users and ensuring the Meeting House is clean and presentable at all times.
Requirements
Excellent customer service, communication and administrative skills including literacy (good standard of English both written and spoken is required), numeracy (able to provide quotes and costings to customers) and IT skills (use of the Microsoft ‘Office’ suite of programmes, most particularly outlook and ability to use online booking system/diary).
Direct hands-on experience of office administration / secretarial is required along with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be required to service rooms for customers which will include moving furniture and setting up rooms and cleaning.
Sympathy with Quaker beliefs and in particular commitment to equality is essential.
