Location: Toxteth Town Hall, Liverpool L8 8DX.

Healthiness is a not-for-profit organisation based in Merseyside that offers community-based holistic physical activity and health education sessions to older adults, carers and adults experiencing mental ill health such as dementia. They deliver sessions across the Merseyside area in a variety of community settings with an objective to reduce barriers to exercise participation for these beneficiaries, through the provision of sessions in their local communities.

Healthiness Ltd is in the process of expanding its programmes of exercise delivery within the community for adults over 50. They are seeking to recruit a sessional instructor to their team for programme delivery within the nursing home, residential homes and community setting.

The sessional instructor will deliver a wide range of classes including ESCAPE Pain, Functional Fitness, Chair Fitness, and community group exercise classes. The sessional instructor will be required to have specialist qualifications and experience working with the older adult population, and an understanding of the multiple complexities around delivery of exercise to specialist population groups.

• Level 3 Personal Trainer (Essential)
• Level 3 G.P. Referral Instructor (Essential)
• ESCAPE- Pain Qualification (Healthiness will subsidise training if you do not already hold this qualification)
• Chair Based Exercise certification (Essential)
• Level 2 Exercise to Music (Desirable)
• Level 3 Older Adults and Exercise specialist (Desirable)
• Level 3 OTAGO Chair Based Falls Management Instructor. (Desirable)
• Level 3 Disability and Exercise (Desirable)
• Level 4 FaME Postural Stability Instructor (Desirable)
• Level 4 for Clinical Exercise Qualifications (Desirable).
