Contract: This post is being re-advertised with funding for a two-year period.
Term: Full-time.
Salary: £23,880.
Hours per week: 35 hours.
Days per week: 5 days.
Reporting to: Operations Manager.
Location: Liverpool City Centre (due to Covid-19, work is largely home-based at present).
Healthwatch Liverpool is the independent champion for people using health and social care services in Liverpool. They listen to what people like about services and what could be improved and share these views with those with the power to make change happen. People can also speak to them to find information about health and wellbeing services and activities available locally.
Job Description
Your focus in this post will be on health and social care issues as they impact on people with a learning disability and people with autism.
- As a key member of the Engagement Team, your focus will be on developing forums and Partnership Boards to allow key groups of the public to have their experiences and views heard and acted on by service providers, commissioners and public bodies in health, social care and other key services.
- Two forums / Partnership Boards will be established. One will be for people with Learning Disabilities, and the second will be for autistic people.
- You will also help ensure that all Healthwatch Liverpool activity is inclusive and reflective of these groups.
- This role encompasses office-based and community-based activities and may require frequent attendance at meetings with health & social care providers, commissioners and diverse patient and service user groups.
