The first Probation Grants programme has been launched on 21 September 2022 and relates to services for people on probation from Ethnic Minority Groups. Grants within this theme can be for a value between £8,000 – £250,000 per year for a period of up to 3 years per grant award. This value may be increased in the future if there is an identified need.
All non-profit making organisations may register an interest in probation services grants. You will be required to provide some basic contact details, including the legal structure of your organisation, plus declare any organisational convictions/offences.
How to apply
Any organisation interested in these upcoming grants (or future grant opportunities) should register their interest on the Probation Grants Applications Portal which can be accessed using this link.
Registration may take a few days to process so interested parties should register as soon as possible.
Once registered, further information and documentation will be available at the competition launch on 21 September 2022.
Objectives
The objectives of the Grant scheme is to achieve the following:
- to improve people’s engagement in, and experience of, probation and other rehabilitative activities;
- to support an individual’s rehabilitation and desistance journey;
- to improve HMPPS’ knowledge of which activities work to support people and to encourage rehabilitation and desistance
