Imagine Independence launches Building Up Stronger

Imagine Independence is launching a new project that will support to people to re-engage with their community following lockdown, whilst building up their skills and resilience to adapt to any potential future lockdown that may materialise.

The exciting new pilot project, Building Up Stronger (BUS), will be launched in October 2020.

BUS will support people – particularly those whose mental health was affected by Covid-19 – to access social, training and education opportunities in the community, as well as to enhance their digital skills, helping them stay connected to families, friends and wider networks.

By focusing on individuals’ lived experience of the Covid-19 pandemic, BUS will offer sustainable, effective interventions to promote and protect people’s well-being, in both the short and longer-term. It will do this by maximising their access to non-clinical VCSE services.

Funded by the National Lottery and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport for a period of 6 months, BUS will provide support in the following Liverpool wards: Princes Park, Riverside, Central, Kirkdale, Everton, Kensington and Fairfield, Picton, Anfield and Norris Green.

More information will follow, with regard to engaging with the project. Right now, Imagine Independence is recruiting a new team to deliver BUS. Find those roles on the LCVS vacancies page.
