Imagine Independence – Learning Disabilities Support Worker

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working a rolling rota.
Salary: £17,419.05 per annum.
Based in: Accommodation Service, Tuebrook area, Liverpool.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Position: Learning Disabilities Support Worker.

Imagine Independence is a third sector organisation that supports people to live full and meaningful lives. Imagine campaigns to promote the inclusion in society of individuals with a range of needs, from mental illness, learning disability, neurodiversity, and complex behaviour that challenges. Its portfolio of services is expanding and so this is a great time to join the organisation.

We are looking for a professional, dedicated and experienced Support Worker who can offer commitment to delivering high quality community-based care to service users living in the Liverpool area. You will have experience of working with people with learning disability and/or mental health needs. You will need excellent communication skills and be flexible in approach. You will have a positive attitude and be non-judgmental. It is essential to the role that you have a committed approach towards maintaining confidentiality protecting the dignity of the individual and promoting their independence. It’s desirable that you have at least an NVQ2 qualification in Health and Social Care.
