Imagine Independence: Trustee Vacancy

Salary: Non-remunerated role; however, expenses will be reimbursed

Imagine Independence is a charity with a positive approach to mental health which works to promote opportunities for people to live a full and independent life.

The charity is recruiting board members who will demonstrate a passion and commitment to improving the lives of our service users: people with mental health issues, learning and physical disabilities, those leaving custody and older people with care needs.

Suitable candidates fit the following criteria:

  • Identify themselves as having lived experience of using Imagine’s or similar services. Board members are encouraged to be ambassadors for the charity’s work and to raise further awareness of the issues surrounding these groups of people
  • Have experience of operating at a strategic level and are committed to making a difference
  • Have professional knowledge and/or experience of this sector or services mentioned above
  • Have financial, development, fundraising or marketing skills

Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community, and a specific wish is to increase the diversity and skills mix of the board. Therefore, applications are particularly embraced from young people and from BME communities, as these are currently under-represented areas.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this post.

For more information and an application form, visit the Imagine website.

Completed applications are to be submitted by no later than 12noon on Monday 7 November 2016 by email to kmason@imagineindependence.org.uk or by post to:

Chair of Trustees, Imagine Independence, 25 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BQ.
