Job Reference: 18/48

Position: Head of Specialist Services, Merseyside and Greater Manchester

Salary: £35,000 p.a. (37.5 hours per week)

Imagine Independence is a well-established, leading third sector provider of high quality community-based support services for people with a range of complex needs, caused by their poor mental health, age or learning disability. Imagine’s specialist services have been rated as “Good” and “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission. There is now a great opportunity to join this successful, expanding organisation.  You will be well rewarded and become part of a high energy, multi-disciplinary team of committed professionals.

In this key role, you will offer leadership and direct line management to a cluster of community-based specialist services, including gender specific ones that provide trauma informed, intensive support. In addition, you will be responsible for specialist accommodation and floating support provision, some of it for people in contact with the criminal justice system. This is a chance to develop in your chosen career, working in a psychologically informed environment. As Registered Manager for these services, you will work to ensure that CQC registration and other quality marks are maintained/gained.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant professional qualification, substantial experience of working in the community with a range of people, including those who have a personality disorder, a forensic mental health requirement, or have been in contact with criminal justice services. The role requires an operationally experienced, dedicated practitioner, who is as passionate as their colleagues about developing Imagine’s outstanding, specialist services.
