Independent Age is pleased to announce the launch of their £2.8 million Boosting Advice Fund to support organisations to provide advice to older people facing financial hardship across England, Scotland and Wales. They know that many older people are struggling with increasing costs of living, leading to tough choices and decreased independence.This fund aims to make a real difference by increasing the amount of expert advice and support at a community level across the following two key areas:
- Income: ensuring older people receive the financial support they deserve, including Pension Credit, Attendance Allowance and Carers Allowance.
- Costs: protecting older people from unfair or unavoidable expenses, such as high bills, housing repairs and housing challenges.
