L8 A Better Place: Activism and Mental Health Questionnaire

The Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre’s community development team, L8 A Better Place is concerned that there seems to be a relatively high proportion of people who are active in the community who experience poor mental health.

This could be due to many reasons, such as: 

• working or volunteering in the community where they live
• being an activist/volunteer in their spare time (and the additional “workload” this creates)
• putting pressure on themselves to support the community or develop community projects
• facing criticism or even anger from other community members.

They would like you to complete this questionnaire to:

• find out whether it is an issue
• see what experiences people have had
• find out what ideas they have to resolve the problem(s) and/or improve their mental health
• inform any future work L8 A Better Place delivers to support activists in the area.
